Édouard Manet (1832–1883)

One of the first 19th-century French artists to approach modern-life subjects, he was a pivotal figure in the transition from Realism to Impressionism. His early masterworks, The Luncheon on the Grass (Le déjeuner sur l'herbe) and Olympia, engendered great controversy and served as rallying points for the young painters who would create Impressionism. Today, these are considered watershed paintings that mark the genesis of modern art.

I wonder if his luck would have been any different if he had told his father he was more attracted to worshiping St. Michael in a Catholic Church.
It is clear that the Evangelical agenda is to convert everyone, whether gays or non-Evangelicals into submission even if they have to kill you to do it.
