ETERNO MUNDO GAY

Nigerian gay porn actor back to business after police trouble. A popular Nigerian porn actor, known as KACHI who was recently attacked by a mob and later arrested by the police for acting and promoting gay porn has been released and is now back to business.

Last month, a video showing Kachi being severely beaten and paraded naked by a mob in Bayelsa trended on the internet. The video attracted mixed reactions from many people who condemned the actions of the mob and demanded that he should be freed.

It was later learned that Kachi who many say is a police officer, was apprehended by the Nigeria police.

A report by a Bayelsa-based human rights organization, that attempted to provide support, revealed that the police were demanding N10, 000, 000 (ten million naira), that’s about $24,884.00 before he can be released, and that they used the opportunity to lure and arrest other gay people.

However, to the surprise of everyone, Kachi appears to have now been released. This is following a recent post on his Facebook account.

COVID-19 Impacts Gay and Bisexual Men's Mental Health

While there is no direct correlation yet identified between being gay, bisexual, or queer and COVID-19, the changes in social and sexual connections may in fact become issues over the long haul.

Nearly 70% of gay people said that their overall quality of life has decreased, 73% reported having increased levels of anxiety, and 56% had decreased connection to friends. For many gay, bisexual, or queer-identified men, being connected to friends or “chosen family” networks has been shown in other studies to provide emotional and mental health support, among people who too often deal with homophobia, biphobia, and other forms of stigma in their biological families. Younger men may be sheltering in place in home environments that may create even more anxiety, or may be hostile or violent.

Campaign to transform READING GAOL, where Oscar Wilde was imprisoned, into arts centre.

The playwright and poet, who had a string of male lovers, was famously arrested and sent to Reading Gaol in 1895 for for gross indecency with men, under the UK’s historic anti-gay laws.

Wilde served two years behind bars in Reading Gaol, where he penned the work De Profundis.

His time in prison was the basis for his final ever work The Ballad of Reading Gaol, a long poem that reflects on the harsh rhythms of his daily prison life.

Former QI host Stephen Fry is among those backing a campaign for the government to scrap plans to sell off the site, and instead transform it into a full-time arts centre.

Swedish Orchestra Turns Homophobic Hate Mail Into Music

After receiving homophobic hate mail over a concert that included music by LGBT composers, a Swedish orchestra has responded by turning the messages into music.
The anonymous letter to the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra initially praised the great setting and fine wine served during the show, but went on to say the performance had made the sender “want to vomit”, and that the orchestra was “hopping aboard the fag train”.
The writer said they would cancel their membership at the concert hall. The composer Fredrik Österling wrote earlier in the year that the anonymous nature of the five-paragraph letter made it difficult to respond to the person or people sending it – but then the tenor Rickard Söderberg suggested turning it into music.
