LGBTQ-inclusive parenting event returns
Proud gay dads and founders of The Modern Family Show, Michael and Wes Johnson-Ellis, share their journey to fatherhood, and explain how they channeled their experiences into helping would-be parents like them.
Like many queer couples, their journey to parenthood was filled with confusion and uncertainty. They spent years researching their options, and dealing with institutions that had no idea how to cater to a same-sex couple.
To help others now standing in their shoes, Michael and Wes created The Modern Family Show in 2021.
Drawing on their own experiences, the event features educational talks, seminars and Q&A sessions with leading experts from the UK, US, Canada, Cyprus and elsewhere.

No se trata de un film que narre una historia de amor homosexual, pero las miradas entre ellos, tan sutilmente gravadas, dejan la puerta abierta a pensar lo contrario.
El éxito del film fue impresionante. En 1928 fue galardonada con el óscar a la mejor película. Hasta hoy ha sido el único film mudo que lo ha conseguido.

He began going to regular counselling and prayer sessions, during which he was told he could become straight.
Soon he was struggling to sleep, he lost weight and had trouble focusing on his final year of undergraduate study.
Doctors diagnosed him with depression. "It made me feel guilty all the time. I felt ashamed and blamed myself for being different to other people," Cheung said. "I wanted to commit suicide."
